Having decided not to proceed with the Promotional Marketing Exhibition, (21-22 April 2010, London), Volume Exhibitions, the show's organiser, has given its support to Waypoint Exhibition's newly launched Incentives & Promotional Marketing - Live, NEC, 21-22 September 2010.
Simon Tilley, MD of Volume Exhibitions Limited, is a long-term business colleague of Stephen Richards, Director of Waypoint and Event Director of Incentives & Promotional Marketing - LIVE! Prior to launching the Promotional Marketing Exhibition in 2005 Simon Tilley worked with the Waypoint team on the launch and development of the National Venue Show (now Event UK) before its eventual sale in 2002. That show continues to be a great success.
Speaking of the developments, Simon Tilley explained, "As the industry knows, as well as running the Promotional Marketing Exhibition, I also own Target Response, which supplies verified data to companies seeking sales leads. In the current climate, this data is very sought after and I have decided to concentrate on this element of my business portfolio.
"I am disappointed that I do not have the time and resources to develop the Promotional Marketing Exhibition it to its full potential. However, with Stephen re-entering the marketplace, I know the industry will be well served by Incentives & Promotional Marketing - LIVE! Despite cancelling PME, I do still recognise the need for a major end-user show in this industry. I believe that Incentives & Promotional Marketing - LIVE's central location at Birmingham's NEC and its co-location with other successful exhibitions offers the best option for a single industry show and I have entered into an agreement with Waypoint to transfer my bookings to this exhibition where possible and to continue to introduce potential exhibitors to Waypoint. "
Incentives & Promotional Marketing - LIVE! enjoys the endorsement of the British Promotional Merchandise Association and the support of the Institute of Sales Promotion and the Direct Marketing Association.
Stephen Richards, Event Director of Incentives & Promotional Marketing - LIVE! added, "Plans for Incentives & Promotional Marketing - LIVE!, are now well advanced. The website has been launched (www.ipm-live.com) and I am very pleased with the support form the industry so far. We have a number of new and exciting initiatives that will develop this from an exhibition into a total learning and information experience for the wider marketing industry and we will be announcing these in the New Year."
