The Coastal Redwood is a very large tree that can grow up to 100m. It dislikes urban pollution and grows best in cool humid areas. Its red/brown bark is thick soft and fibrous. Unlike most conifers, this tree will re-sprout from the remaining stump if cut to the ground.
